coast of Greece at the mouth of the Ambracian
Gulf or Gulf of Arta. The airport provides
a landing point for travellers visiting the
west coast of the Greek mainland and central
Greece. Preveza airport is about 2 miles from
the town of Preveza from which it is separated
by the channel between the Ambracian Gulf
and the Ionian Sea. Connections to the town
of Preveza are via the E55 motorway which
runs through an undersea tunnel under the
